Charles is the founding partner of the Firm, admitted to practice law as an advocate in 1998. With 28 years of experience in commercial and litigation law, he is in charge of the Dispute Management Department, overseeing dispute resolution through mediation, arbitration, and litigation in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and Magistrates Courts.

Special Areas of Practice
1. Commercial Disputes
Charles has handled numerous high-value commercial disputes through mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Cases he has managed in the High Court and Court of Appeal have involved subject matter valued at over Kshs. 5 billion.
2. Public Procurement
Charles is one of the few advocates in Kenya specializing in public procurement law. He represents both procuring entities and bidders before the Public Procurement Appeals and Review Board (PPARB). Notably, he successfully represented a bidder in a Kshs. 1.2 billion contract. The firm handles approximately 10% of all disputes presented to PPARB annually, often involving values above Kshs. 200 million.
3. Land Disputes
He has advised on and litigated numerous land ownership disputes, successfully representing clients in cases involving properties worth over Kshs. 2 billion, from the High Court up to the Supreme Court of Kenya.
4. Construction Disputes
Charles possesses extensive experience in construction law, particularly under FIDIC agreements. He recently represented a local construction company in a claim worth Kshs. 800 million, with most cases in this area exceeding Kshs. 400 million.
5. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Beyond litigation, Charles has a keen focus on ADR, effectively resolving disputes through mediation, negotiation, and arbitration.
